Perfect your business to business sales pitch at the Tradeshows & Sales Missions workshops in Cairns and Port Douglas.

Tourism Tropical North Queensland Chief Executive Officer Pip Close said the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) created the workshop as part of the Know-How for Inbound Tourism Excellence program to help tourism operators get their businesses ready for the international market.

“If you’re planning an overseas sales mission to sell your business to the tourism industry you can learn what international buyers want and how to pitch it to them,” she said.

“Michael Nelson from Pinnacle Tourism Marketing will advise on what not to do, what is best practice, and how to form your pitch.

“During his 18 years in tourism, Michael has held senior roles in the marketing departments of some of Tropical North Queensland’s iconic tourism products.

“He has mentored emerging tourism businesses and only recently stepped down from the ATEC Board of Directors after completing his full term.

“Workshop participants will discover how to make the most of trade show attendance by learning the simple steps to being prepared including research, presentation inclusions, what to bring, conducting meetings, networking and follow up.

“Attending a tradeshow or putting together an international sales mission is an expensive exercise so this workshop will ensure you don’t waste your money by not being prepared.”

The Cairns workshop will be held at TTNQ, Level 2, 51 Esplanade, Cairns on Friday February 16 at 10am-1pm.

The Port Douglas workshop will be held at Sheraton Grand Mirage Port Douglas on Wednesday February 21 at 10am-1pm. The same content will be presented at each workshop. Entry is $20pp and can be booked online.

The TNQ Tourism Small Business Development Program is for TTNQ member and non-member businesses that receive a significant portion of revenue from tourism and have less than 20 full-time equivalent employees.
