Staging Connections offers private social media
Staging Connections has become the first in Australia to offer companies the option to create their own private social media feeds. The company’s live social media platform, Event Feed, captures all Tweets, Facebook and Instagram posts via a dedicated hashtag and pushes them live to screen, however, the new feature ensures the content isn’t available to the public.
General Manager of Staging Connections’ Digital Event Services Tim Chapman says the feature will revolutionise large-scale engagement while ensuring privacy and security for those companies that need it.
“With privacy a key concern for businesses, the ability of these exclusive Event Feeds is that only those at the event can view the interaction on the internal event screens. Building a community through engagement and interaction is the goal of every event. Event Feed boosts conversation if you want to go viral, and now also has the option to keep that conversation exclusive and in the room,” he says.
“Social media is heavily ingrained as a method of our daily communication, so it’s fitting that events integrate it as a key method of engagement. Harnessing the hype of social media can bolster your brand’s reach and engagement, but it does expose your event to the social sphere presenting some privacy concerns for brands. Event Feed means events with publically sensitive information do not have to forgo the benefits of social integration.”
