Cairns Airport connects our destination
The world is becoming much smaller for Tropical North Queensland residents with a number of new international routes added to Cairns Airport this year. To date the region has welcomed Jetstar’s new direct service to Bali and SilkAir’s direct Singapore flights. Philippine Airlines will start their Manila-Cairns-Auckland service on 3 December.
All these flights provide excellent connections to Cairns from other parts of Asia and Europe, making it easier for international visitors to holiday in the region. Chinese New Year 2016 is shaping up well with China Eastern Airlines running their seasonal Shanghai service from January to April and Hong Kong Airlines announcing their first charter flights to Australia will be direct to Cairns from January to April.
Both airlines have daily flights during February and three per week the rest of the season, which means it will be a very busy Chinese New Year.
